How do I know if I’m gay? Am I the only one? What makes you gay? What’s the difference between transgendered and transsexual? Can I be religious and bisexual? I think I’m in an abusive relationship, where can I go for help? Where can I meet other gay teenagers? I’m 17 and my girlfriend is 31. Is it legal for us to have sex? When’s the best time to come out to your parents?
No matter what you have on your mind, Gay Online is here to listen. Our volunteers will do their very best to help answer or refer any question you may have.
CAEO is proud to provide this innovative listening and referral service in an effort to reach out to the English speaking LGBTQ community of the province, country and even the world!
Gay Online is a free and confidential online chat service available on Sunday and Monday evenings from 7-11pm for the months of May until August 2010.
As with all our programs, CAEO volunteers are carefully selected and trained to ensure quality services to the community. If you need to talk, please click on the "Chat with Jaime" icon located on the left of your screen and one of our volunteers will be happy to chat with you.
You are not required to provide a username, your real name or email address when logging in and you will never be asked for this information by our Gay Online volunteers. And remember; if you feel more comfortable talking to someone over the phone, our sister program Gay Line is also available (see our webpage on Gay Line for more information).
We are looking to expand our hours in the upcoming months so please check back often for updates.
Should you have any questions about the program, or if you want to get involved with CAEO or Gay Online, please feel free to contact me directly. I look forward to offering this innovative new service to the Quebec LGBTQ community for many years to come!
Kindest regards,
Olivier Couture
Director of Community Programs
